About her
I'm a retired nurse and I try to stay fit and healthy and enjoy an active lifestyle. I love being out in the countryside and although I'm originally from the South Coast I've learnt how to appreciate the cold frosty days in the north and I love the snow... when we get it. I used to ski on a regular basis and I would like to go back to it one day if I find a ski buddy. I like to think I'm reasonably intelligent, and I keep up with current affairs, mostly through radio 4, although the news is pretty depressing these days. I enjoy a good book, mostly modern fiction and manage a page or two before falling asleep at night. I think my friends would describe me as quietly confident and I can cope with most social situations. I'm probably more of a quiet drink with friends kind of person, rather than an all night party girl, but I am pretty sociable most of the time and I think I have a positive nature and usually see the good in (most) people. I am very family orientated and I have a good relationship with both of my daughters. My two small grandsons live nearby, they mean the world to me and give me so much joy and pleasure.

I like intelligent, thoughtful men who are confident without being overpowering. I find a wry, self-depreciating sense of humour a very attractive quality in a man. Staying fit and healthy is a priority, so if you enjoy exercise and the outdoors then we will get on. I'm happy if you have hobbies or interests of your own as long as we can find some common ground and spend some quality time together. I'm not looking for marriage and I do like my own space, but I would like to meet someone I love spending time with, who is also looking for a committed and loving relationship that brings depth and colour to both of our lives.
