About her
Why should people get to know me? I don't think they 'should', because this implies obligation. I hope that a person might get to know me because they want to, because they might want to spend time with me, because they might grow to like me. It's that simple.

I try to live good life doing no harm to none and feeling at peace with my efforts. I love Scotland (an immigrant from England) and enjoy the home I have 'built' here. My mother was also an immigrant, Lithuanian who married an English man and built a home for me and my two sisters, all now gone.
My interests and likes include music (listening to all sorts), reading, film (being in a rural location, mainly on TV, especially BFI [British Film Institute]), food stuff and cooking, walking, meditation, the Arts, politics and growing my garden. I try to have at least one belly laugh a day.
I am also interested in the lives of my two just reached maturity cats. This is because I admire their feline nature of independence, curiosity, beauty and warmth.

I'm wary of the notion of 'ideals'. I feel perfection is illusory. What's important, for me, is authenticity.
